Role Overview

A unique opportunity to help a people-first tech company achieve it’s 10x vision, by enabling everyone to reach their full potential. As our first Talent Development role to join our 140-person business, you’ll be able to make a meaningful impact from day one.

You’ll oversee and lead on Learning and Talent Development across the whole business, identifying ways to grow and nurture our talent with high-impact, tailored skills to achieve our business ambitions. You’ll be an end-to-end thinker, who can build an effective Talent Development strategy, execute on it, engage people along the way, and gain tangible outputs and raving feedback post-delivery.

This is a hands-on, high-impact ‘build’ and ‘deliver’ role in an empowering company where you can really make a difference supporting a scaling business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shaping, building, leading and delivering a wide range of learning and development solutions (e.g. leadership and management development, competency frameworks, designing and delivering training, arranging and/or administering psychometric assessments, developing and facilitating team building sessions), to meet the varied needs of the business.

  • Complete training needs analysis at organisational, team and individual levels and deliver L&D and Talent programmes to contribute to the attainment of strategic and operational goals.

  • Build and maintain strong and productive working relationships, based on continuous feedback across our business: to ensure talent are developed in a tailored, engaging, and ‘sticky’ way to consistently apply their skills into their roles.

  • Collaborate closely with our People Partner to co-deliver strategic talent initiatives aligned to our strategy, including performance management and development processes

  • Coach, develop and support our People and Talent team as a SME

  • Oversee and track all L&D activity across the business, ensuring it is progressing efficiently, and being managed effectively to meet the expectations and prove ROI

  • Act as an internal champion and role model for growth: sharing impactful knowledge, building a learning and coaching community and encouraging sustainable peer-to-peer learning communities

  • Lead on and improve our performance management and development processes at Sliide to drive the right behaviours and skills we need to sustainably maintain a high-performing culture.

  • Lead on design and delivery of key growth opportunities across the employee lifecycle, including: designing effective and engaging onboarding programs, development support for emerging talent/new managers and succession planning and skill-gaps identification

Requirements

  • Proven experience and high-impact delivery as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar. Demonstrable examples of interventions designed for management and employee development programs essential.

  • Excellent knowledge of evidence-based adult learning and development methodologies, including organisational change

  • Good knowledge of leadership development methodologies, e-learning platforms, psychometrics, 360s, skills & behaviours assessments, and high-quality L&D providers/programs

  • Experience in project management and budgeting

  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen

  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors

  • Previous experience of working within the tech industry or as a HR Generalist/ business partner a plus

  • Professional certification in an Adult Education, Psychology, Organisational change, or CIPD is a plus

  • ‘Standalone’ experience in a scale-up business
